Acrobatics (sage study).jpg

Acrobatics is a sage study in the field of Circus, mixing various physical performances with feats of extraordinary balance, agility and coordination. The study incorporates numerous amusements and stunts which can be performed for an audience, as well as tricks that can serve the character well in other ventures. The study includes jugglers, tumblers, aerialists and other circus performers — persons fascinating to watch but not of particularly high social standing.

These forms have existed for millennia, incorporating specialised techniques for the body that have remained guild-secrets since before Roman times. In game terms, the acrobat can "do more with less," circumventing what would require other characters to make dexterity or strength checks. This is accomplished by strengthening unusual muscles and increasing the strain-potential of tendons and muscles, while exhibiting perfect balance when needed.
