Circus is a sage field available to bards, providing the skills and diverse entertainment styles associated with physical achievements of amazement, daring, humour and the trained performance of animals. Together, these create a captivating spectacle where wonder and imagination converge to create an enchanting experience.

A grand pavilion, its sturdy wooden poles hoisting a canvas roof, is decorated with colourful banners and pennants that flutter in the breeze, adding a touch of vibrancy to the scene. Inside, a diverse crowd gathers, eager to witness the extraordinary. As the instruments play, wooden doors open and the audience is treated to a show that defies the ordinary.

Out of sight, the performers lead lives that are as diverse and colorful as the acts they perform. Together, they share a deep bond, akin to a close-knit family. They look out for one another, offering support and encouragement in times of triumph and adversity. There are individuals from all walks of life: nobles who have forsaken their titles, commoners with extraordinary talents, abandoned lovers, mad geniuses, apprentices who have escaped their masters and many more. Most of all, these sort are known for their resilience. Adapting to changing circumstances, weathering storms, and embracing the nomadic lifestyle, each appreciates the adventure they're on and the tenacity that requires.

Sage Studies

The field includes the following sage studies:

  • Acrobatics (sage study): blends extraordinary human feats with an artistic flair reminiscent of dance. Performers in this sage study showcase unparalleled balance, agility and coordination. Their breathtaking displays include gravity-defying leaps, intricate tumbles and aerial acts that seem to defy the laws of physics.
  • Animal Performance (sage study): a mesmerizing display of mastery over a diverse menagerie of creatures. From the regal elegance of large cats to the lumbering charm of elephants, the swift grace of horses, and the unpredictable antics of monkeys, performers in this sage study forge remarkable connections with their animal companions.
  • Clowning (sage study): an age-old art form that embodies the timeless spirit of the harlequin and the court jester. These performers possess a unique ability to inspire unbridled laughter and merriment through a delightful blend of foolishness, physical prowess, and delightful surprises. They don colorful, exaggerated costumes and use exaggerated physical expressions to convey a wide range of emotions, from sheer joy to mock despair.
  • Daredevil (sage study): the thrill-seekers of the circus world. They specialize in the performing of dangerous stunts and tricks that elicit a moment of terror from their audience, followed by an overwhelming sense of relief and stunned respect for the magnificence of the performer's bravery and skill.
