Gadfly is a cantrip that conjures a biting horse-fly capable of travelling an extra 20 feet in any direction to bite a chosen creature without needing a to hit roll. The damage caused by the gadfly is 1 hit point. The exact point of attack by the cantrip can be anywhere upon the victim's exposed body.

There's a 3% chance per caster level that the victim, if a riding or working animal, including a hippogriff or pegasus, could be driven mad by the bite. Characters with animal handling abilities of authority-status recieve a +3 bonus to this save.
