Spider is a cantrip that conjures an arachnid capable of travelling an extra 20 feet in any direction to bite a chosen creature without needing a to hit roll. The damage caused by the bee is 1 hit point. The exact point of attack by the cantrip can be anywhere upon the victim's exposed body.

Though the damage is very little, there's yet the possibility that the dweomer may stun a weak defender or generally contribute to an enemy's downfall. Additionally, the sting breaks the concentration of a spellcaster weaving a spell.

Poison

There's a 3% chance per caster level that the victim, if humanoid, might suffer from the spider's poison. If this is the case, the victim is granted a saving throw vs. poison — failure causes the area around the sting to swell and become very painful, causing an additional 5-12 damage (d8 +4) that's received in a single round.

The spider cantrip is similar to a group of other personal cantrips that include bee, bug, gadfly and mouse.
