Known for its fearsome appearance and ferocious attack, the barracuda is found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide. They swim near the top of the water, favoring coral reefs and sea grasses. Like sharks, they are dangerous to swimmers. Yet barracudas are popular as a game fish and are eaten as fillets. For West Africans, the fish is a delicacy that is smoked for use in soups and sauces.

The barracuda strikes with deadly speed, gaining +4 initiative on its first attack, where it may cover a distance up to 18 hexes in the space of one round. Barracuda will gather and circle prey from the edge of this distance. Each will then strike at their prey, one per round, at lightning speed. If no blood is drawn, each barracuda will make one strike and then the whole group will swim off, to disperse soon after. However, if blood is drawn, the barracuda will move in and engage continuously until they have eaten a third of their weight or they are dead.
