Animals are complex, boned & muscular creatures whose bodies pump blood; they usually possess limbs, but this is not always so. Animals are subdivided into amphibians & reptiles, mammals and birds. They do not include insects, mollusks and fishes or slime molds, nor any unnatural living thing or construction.

Animals and druids have a natural affinity for one another, so that many druidic spells relate to the friendship, calling or manipulation of animals.
