Advance to Multiple Attacks
The first improvement takes place at 4th level. From that point on, the character is now able to make "five attacks every four rounds," written as "5/4." This works so that when a combatant with multiple attacks enters combat, during the first three rounds the fighter, paladin or ranger is able to attack just once each round, as normal. With the fourth round, however, the character gains two attacks and rolls TWO attack dice.
While normally an attack requires 2 action points (AP) to perform, when the character gains their "double-attack round," this expenditure is reduced to just 1 AP per attack.
