Succor (spell).jpg

Succor offers relief for a chosen few when in difficulty, enabling them to escape from peril. The spell imbues objects or tokens with the power of succor, which can be distributed to other characters. When the object is rubbed and the possessor desires it, the bearer is returned instantly to the caster's presence, wherever the caster might be. The caster, unfortunately, cannot make use of this benefit.

Succor
Range touch
Duration until used
Area of Effect 1 object per 4 levels
Casting Time 3 rounds
Saving Throw none
Level cleric (7th), mage (9th)

When used, the object will return everything the possessor is able to carry; quite obviously, the object is also returned. However, each object is good for only one use; when employed, the dweomer is lost until the spell is cast again. The possessor's distance from the caster is irrelevant — it doesn't even matter if the caster is on the same plane of existence as the possessor; the power of succor will still return him or her to the caster's presence.

The object radiates magic which can be detected. If desired, it can be given to someone else for use at any time.
