Dispel Exhaustion is a spell that instantly revitalizes and reinvigorates the recipient, granting them the benefits of a full day's rest. Any fatigue or depleted energy the character may have suffered, whether from a forced march or a prolonged battle, is instantly removed upon the spell's discharge.

The recipient can remain awake easily for up to 16 hours following the spell's effect. However, if the character prefers to maintain their normal sleep pattern, they're able to fall asleep normally as desired.

This spell provides healing equivalent to 1 hit point per level of the character, mimicking the effects of a full day's rest. Additionally, if the recipient is a spellcaster, they can immediately re-learn any spells they used that day, with a time cost of 15 minutes per spell level.

The character's need for food is also affected. They only require 2 lbs. of food for that day, as the character is considered to have "rested" during his or her previous wakefulness. However, if the character engages in travel or battle within the next 16 hours, they'll require the expected amount of food for those activities.

Use in Moderation

Repeated use of the dispel exhaustion spell, more than once every three days, carries a serious risk to the character's health. Used too often, the recipient must make a system shock survival roll, with failure resulting in the character suffering 1d10 points of damage per level of the caster.

The caster, too, runs this risk if indulging in the spell too often. The damage may be lethal if the character's level is far below that of the caster, or if the recipient is in a state of disrepair when the spell is cast.
