Tree is a spell that grants the ability to take the form of a living tree or shrub, whether in the full vitality of its foliage or reduced to a mere trunk with a few remaining limbs. The spell accounts for seasonal changes, mirroring the typical characteristics of other vegetation in the surrounding area, without the caster needing to concentrate on such details.

Although the closest inspection will not reveal the true nature of the concealment, penetrate disguise will certainly do so, as will true seeing. In turn, the caster will be able to observe all that falls in sight, in a 360° direction, throughout the spell's duration.

The caster can cancel the spell at will, being free to take up weapons or perform any other action as though having been merely standing and waiting.
