Tangle (cantrip).jpg

Tangle will cause disconnected objects within the area of effect to become knotted, twisted or matted, so as to become difficult to separate. These objects must be at least partially loose and unattached. It will take from 4-10 rounds to pull them apart; until such time is given, the objects are useless.

Area of Effect 1 cub. yard
Casting Time 2 action points

Level cantrip

Potentially affected objects include rope, thread, laces, strings, straps bridles, harnesses and so forth. Bowstrings that are fixed to a bow may not be tangled; but a rope tied around a pole could be made to loop and tangle itself, with one end still attached to the pole.

Untie

The reverse of the cantrip, untie, will release a bowstring from a bow, a rope tied around a pole, straps tied across a chest or a string fixing an object closed. It will also reverse the effects of the tangle version of this cantrip.
