Know Intent
Range self
Duration 10 rounds
Area of Effect 10 ft. per level
Casting Time 1 round
Saving Throw none
Level cleric (2nd); druid (3rd); mage (2nd)

Reveals more than the malevolence of a creature, but in broad strokes, the actions they plan to take within the next five rounds — whatever that action may be.

The cleric need not concentrate upon the spell for it to be active, but must give his attention to the discovery of a person’s intent each given round in order to obtain it. Only immediate intents are learned — long term desires or goals are not permitted by the spell.

Furthermore, only the action is learned, and not the specifics of that action. The cleric would learn of an intent to sing, but not the song; the intent to run, but not how fast.

However, knowledge of what spells specifically are to be cast, or who would be a target about to be attacked, is included in the spell. Also included is knowledge of who a melee attack would be directed against.

The caster is able to examine one creature each round the spell is in effect.
