Describes a cross-training in the collection of sage abilities from other classes, enabling the thief or assassin character to more successfully pass among a wider variety of professional organizations and social strata. Persons specializing in this study can accumulate a startling number of somewhat low-level skills, along with a fair amount of advanced knowledge. The character may specialize in one group of skills associated with another class or may scatter their knowledge over a wide area.

Sage Abilities

Amateur

Upon obtaining 10 knowledge points, the character chooses 2 amateur abilities from any class other than their own. For every additional 6 points above 10, another amateur ability may be added (thus, at 16, 22, 28 and so on). Note that knowledge of one ability within a study gives no access to other abilities in that study, unless specifically chosen.

Authority

Upon obtaining 30 points of knowledge, the character chooses 2 authority abilities from any class other than their own. For every additional 10 points above 30, another authority ability may be added (thus, at 40, 50, 60 and so on).

Expert

Upon obtaining 60 points of knowledge, the character chooses 2 expert abilities from any class other than their own. For every additional 14 points above 60, another expert ability may be added (thus, at 74, 88, 102 and so on).

Sage

Upon obtaining 100 points of knowledge, the character chooses 2 sage abilities from any class other than their own. For every additional 18 points above 100, another sage ability may be added (thus, at 118, 136, 154 and so on).
