Insight (sage study).jpg

Insight is a sage study in the field of the Way of the Spirit, which uses the profound wisdom of mythical sages and mystics to unveil knowledge transcending the grasp of ordinary mortals. It's not the mere act of divination, but a journey that awakens the inner eye. Practitioners embark on an inward journey, entering a trance where the secrets of the universe unfold like an ancient scroll.

Further, characters are able to initiate contact with their ancestors, invoking the spirits who walked the path before them. This communion transcends the boundaries of the moral realm, providing strength, knowledge and protection in unequalled ways.

Sage Abilities

The sage abilities below are those acquired by a character through the study, according to status.

Amateur Status

  • Commune with Ancestor: engage in a ritual by which knowledge can be tapped from an ancestor's list of sage abilities; the ancestor is specifically designated and their abilities are pre-determined; this knowledge must also be intuitive and not interactive.
  • Sense Vibration: feel adjustments to walls and floors more easily than others.

Authority Status

  • Inner Sight: be conscious of the surroundings while in a state of meditation (one hour per level).

Expert Status

  • Cast Eye: extend the vision outside the body.
  • Guardian Spirit: these members of the spiritual realm act as ethereal sentinels, able to temporarily manifest themselves in order to protect the character, while acting as conduits between the character and the other-realm.
