Grey ooze is a sluggish creature that seeps through subterranean hallways. It is able to squeeze under dungeon doors, through as little as a half-inch gap, or move up and down stairs; however, they are too heavy to climb walls or move across ceilings. In colour, a grey ooze resembles grey, mottled stone, though due to its reflective qualities it has no camouflage ability.

When attacking, it is able to form a appendage from its body that it will strike outwards like a snake; upon touching a creature, the acidic body fluid of the creature will cause damage as indicated. Additionally, upon a hit, the defender's armour (or clothes if the character is unarmoured) must make a save vs. acid. Failure indicates that the armour is made less effect by 1 armour class. If the creature hits better than AC 10 but not well enough to cause damage, then the defender's shield must make save or be destroyed; and if the defender has no shield, then the character's armour must make save (as either has stopped the ooze from hitting the defender).

The grey ooze is immune

Spells do not harm this creature, and it is impervious to heat or cold. lightning, however, causes full domage to gray ooze, as do blows from weapons. Note, however, that in the latter case the weapons striking the creature may corrode ond break. They strike like snakes when attacking. Large specimens (over 18 hit points) are larger than a full grown man, some (those over 21 hit points) are fully 3' wide and 12' long, olthough only about 6 or 8 inches thick. In exceptionally large individuols intelligence of a sort is well developed. Furthermore, these exceptional individuals have a latent psionic ability, and if psionic powers are used within 6" of them they will prepare a psychic crush of from 21 to 121 psionic strength attack points and direct it at any individuol within range who uses psionic abilities.
