In very large cities there were be an armourer's guild, working together on one or more streets, but more usually armourer's shop are scattered, with each armourer having each district as a territory. While armour has to be fitted somewhat to the specific needs of a person's shape and size, usually this means a collaboration of pieces that can be fixed together the same day or the next, as usually there are 5-10 armourers and apprentices who work in a shop.
