Jump to navigationJump to searchFeatherless, flightless birds exposed to the fearsome powers of the Elemental Plane of Fire, the giant striders serve as the primary livestock and mounts of the firenewts along Sakhalin Island. Feral populations are believed to exist but have yet to be discovered.
The origin of the giant strider is a mystery. Folktales of a feathered bird of similar form living on the islands of Southeast Asia have been roundly rejected by scholars.
