Accompaniment (spell).jpg

Accompaniment creates an illusionary figure able to provide musical support for a bard giving a performance or seeking to invoke martial spirit.

Accompaniment
Range 20 ft.
Duration 4 minutes +1 minute
per level; see text
Area of Effect 60 ft.; 1 creature
Casting Time 1 round
Saving Throw none
Level bard (2nd)

The magical accompanist improves a bard's performance in the fields of circus, dance, drama, music and puppetry, improving the performer's charisma by 2 points overall and the effectiveness of the performance by 1% per three minutes of play. Before this benefit can be fully understood, further work on these bardic fields must be completed.

The spell is also able to provide a caster with the ability to urge allied combatants to greater effectiveness and merit while participating in combat. In addition to enabling allies within 60 ft. a +1 bonus to hit and also to damage, as detailed under "martial spirit," the caster is also able to improve one combatant's experience level, within the spell's range, for the duration of the spell.
