Firefinger is a spell that conjures a fleeting flame from the caster's fingertip, capable of lighting various objects like lamps, torches, candles, oil-soaked rags and split logs, as well as paper, straw and oil afloat on water.

Saving Throw | none; see below |
Level | cantrip |
Upon contact with the chosen item, it instantly bursts into radiant illumination with normal fire. Items not specified thus far can also potentially catch fire if exposed to the magical finger's touch. Each, however, is granted a saving throw against normal fire to resist ignition.
Apart from items intended to burn steadily, such as the aforementioned candle, torch or lantern, the enchantment's effect lacks duration, as significant heat isn't achieved. The cantrip does produce a brief flash of light that can momentarily aid the caster in gaining their bearings. Once the cantrip concludes, there is no lingering afterglow.
Although the flame's lifespan is but a mere instant, it possesses the capacity to inflict a single point of damage, provided that the caster is in immediate proximity to the target, requiring no attack roll.
