Whispering Wind (spell).jpg

Whispering wind passes a message over a considerable distance, one that can be heard only by one or more intended listeners. The sound heard seems to arrive on the wind, so that a large number could hear the message at more or less the same time. The length of the message is limited to twelve words per round of duration the spell possesses.

The caster cannot dispel the wind or the message once it's sent.

The caster must personally know those persons designated as listeners, whether they are friends, acquaintances or enemies. The manner in which the message arrives tends to cause listeners to believe the message is true. Those with higher powers may choose to confirm the message by divinity or other means. Messages of warning and good intent achieve the best results when passed along to strangers, such as an approaching army, the dangers offered by a distant plague, tidings of success and the like.
