This ability, when creatively applied, could have multifaceted uses, should the caster use it to cast suspicion on some, or create confusion, however the cantrip is used.  Items might be stolen and left behind, surreptiously relocated for eventual obtaining at a later time, to throw off suspicion.  Naturally, there's nothing to stop the caster from using the dweomer for illicit gains, even to obtain cheap and easy food items or other objects from a [[Town Market|town market]].

There is no requirement that the caster place it on his or her person—anywhere within arm’s reach, such as the floor, in a convenient space, upon another person … all are possible.
