Gather (cantrip).jpg

Gather will pull together various scattered objects, such as loose coins, the broken parts of a dropped object or general equipment, nails, papers, beads, small stones and otherwise, assembling it into a neat stack or pile; if an associate holds open a sack, chest, box or backpack within the area of effect, the caster can induce the gathered items to flow into the container.

Gather
Range 10 ft.
Duration permanent
Area of Effect 1 combat hex
Casting Time 2 action points
Saving Throw none
Level cantrip

The cantrip cannot select specific items to gather from an assembly of things. It cannot usefully affect particles weighing less than 1/100th of an ounce, such as sand or dust; the cantrip's practical limit is 10,000 objects.

However, provided the object fits the magic's perameters, gather can be used to fetch things out of cracks or pull a key under a door and into the desired location; likewise, objects might be drawn together out of a mud bank, since the silt would be too small for the cantrip to affect, while stones or bits of metal could be.
