Animal products is a sage study in the field of Leather Work, involving the transformation of hides and other animal parts into useful and valuable goods, including the soaking of hides, treating them with natural agents, drying and methods of combining materials through sewing, binding, layering and the use of natural adhesives like pitch and resins. Likewise, the use of bones, sinew and horns are also part of this knowledge.

The various creatures of the world offer a wealth of materials; the leatherworker with this study understands specifically how the solid body parts of these animals can be employed, at first in a perfectly ordinary sense, later as materials with which all sorts of potential items might be made, both magical and otherwise.
