Wheeze (cantrip) b.jpg

Wheeze is a cantrip that produces a range of exhaling sounds, including a sigh, tired breathing and air escaping from a bladder, variously giving a hint of weariness, fatigue, exertion or a steady release of air.

Range 20 ft.

Casting Time 2 action points

Level cantrip

The effect may be used to give the impression of an unseen person standing around a corner, for the purpose of misdirection — or as a form of practical joke or prank. The sound could be used to strategically mask or obscure a conversation. Imaginatively, it could be used as a signal.

Cause Inflammation

The cantrip can be applied directly against a single creature whose biology includes lungs. If a saving throw against magic fails, the recipient's air passages quickly become inflamed, subjecting them to an acute sinus infection that lasts from 2-5 days. Affected individuals are forced to forego work and seek rest, which may be of use to the caster.
