Maxwell (talk) the druid in my game took this study as his first specialty. when he was picking, I came up with some ideas for abilities so he would have more idea of what this study would lead to. any of these strike you as worth incorporating? I had these pegged as authority-status.

  • Vermifuge (expel parasites from hosts, inspired by this fern and a few others)
  • Staunch Wounds ( I originally thought of this as Bind Wounds, but allowing the use of foraged mosses instead of bandages; a lesser effect would just be that it is possible to bind the wounds using mosses at all, *without* the advantages of the Bind Wounds ability, but at least saving you from needing to buy bandages -- ferns are free)
  • Create Terrarium (not sure what it might do ... a mild relaxation/calming effect?)
  • Moss Lawn (cultivate large areas of moss for a refined aesthetic; improves the value of gardens and other green spaces; possibly gets you hired by landowners)
  • Harvest Peat (for making whiskey? for making certain magic items, similar to mistletoe?)
