Air elementals are mystical and powerful creatures that embody the essence of air and wind. They're one of the elemental creatures that form the fundamental blocks of the universe, alongside earth, fire and water elementals. They are typically summoned, controlled or encountered under the most unique of circumstances, and are formidable foes or powerful allies.
They appear as a swirling mass of translucent or semi-transparent air currents, taking on a vaguely humanoid shape while maintaining their ethereal and ever changing form. Most often they appear as a whirling vortex with distinct, twisting tendrils. The size of an air elemental can vary, from smaller, whirlwind-sized forms to massive tornado-like beings.
