Mouse creates a small rodent that can appear up to 10 ft. from the caster, which can then travel 10 ft. further from that point and bite one creature. The damage that's caused by the bite is 1 hit point; no roll to hit is necessary.

In addition to the damage, when the mouse attacks, there's a 3% chance per caster's level that the creature will contract a [Disease|disease]], specifically one that attacks the brain and nerves as rabies does — note that the disease will be comparatively mild for a disease of this type, lasting 2-5 weeks. It will take 3-12 days for the disease to manifest. There is no saving throw.

The mouse cantrip cannot be used to strike fear into persons or elephants, though the latter trope is nearly extinct now.
