Enables the recipient to hear the faintest sound. This could be the most subtle whisper of a nearly calm wind to the scratching sounds of an ordinary mouse as it walks along. At will, the recipient is able to tune out whatever sounds are not desired, even those of a bustling city market or noisy tavern.
This allows the recipient to focus on a specific conversation, hearing the words that are spoken; or to hear the desperate cries of an ally who has been imprisoned nearby. When focusing to hear specific sounds, the listener must either know the person as a friend or associate, or be able to directly see the source of the sounds desired.
Otherwise, the listener must accept the complete range of sounds that can be heard. This will permit the recipient to listen at doors or around corners. The spell grants no knowledge of what is heard, however, only the actual sounds being made.
