Furnish (cantrip).jpg

Furnish is a cantrip that creates a pleasant but fairly ordinary piece of furniture that endures for a brief period. The poor quality of the item and it's lightness makes it very unlikely that any dealer might be willing to purchase the object, but it can quickly provide comfort for the caster or some other when such is needed.

The types of items that can be created include chairs, stools, small carpets, a clay plant pot, a single person bed or cot, a bastinet, cupboard, screen, bench (sitting up to three persons), an eating table for two or a small writing desk.

Each object endures so long as it's continually in use, though it may be left alone and untouched for up to 15 minutes before it dissolves and vanishes. Thus, a bed could be slept in for hours or a chair sat in throughout the evening without trouble, while a carpet created to wipe one's feet would disappear soon after.

The object emits a very weak magic signature for the purpose of detection.

Durability

Each item can be easily smashed or broken, if so desired. Should a conjured furnishing be used as a weapon, it would cause 1-3 damage on the first hit — but in doing so it would fall apart and dissolve.

If two or more persons were to attempt to sleep in the created bed, the object would endure for an hour before breaking up and dropping both persons to the floor.
