Determines what lies a speaker has told in the prior five minutes before the spell is cast. The definition of "lie" is, as ever, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
The reverse of the spell, conceal lie, will cause lies, even those which are bald-face, seem reasonable and believable. The listener is entitled to a saving throw, however.
The spells detect lie and conceal lie will cancel each other out if both employed, and it will only be known to the caster of detect lie that the reverse was employed. The caster of conceal lie will not be aware of it.
