Counteracts any toxic agent, regardless of the source, even if the poison has worked its way into the recipient’s system.
It is even possible to restore to life a creature that has died from poison, so long as the spell is used within 3 rounds per level of the caster of that death occurring.
The spell will also cause the poison sac of a touched creature to wither and dry, so that the creature will no longer be poisonous. The caster must successfully roll against AC 10 to successfully touch the creature.
