Produces a sharp cracking sound, similar to a whip or the sound of a fire popping.

The sound - as a whip - will stop a moving animal, or drive one that is stationary back 10 ft., if that animal does not make saving throw.

The cantrip will also make an actual fire pop, which will distract an enemy within 10 ft. of the fire long enough to lose 1 point on an initiative roll.

The cantrip will also produce a crack in a flat crystal surface, such as a pane of glass or a flat tile, or in ice less than a quarter-inch thick. It cannot affect items of glass or ceramic that are not flat. While the item cracked does not break, it will suffer a –1 modifier to its saving throw vs. normal blow, fire, cold, etc.
