Maxwell (talk) Construction of dugout canoes might fit as an ability. Perhaps a crude version compared to what one could create with proper Boatbuilding, or just limited to that one kind of boat where proper Boatbuilding could make any kind.

You have a note in Woodcutting that people float timber down rivers ... that's crying out to be an ability too. Could include skill at riding individual logs, as well as lashing them together into a crude raft -- another useful, basic watercraft (and far less labor intensive than a dugout).
