Talk:Detect Concealed Door (sage ability)

It occurs to me as I begin work on sage abilities that there are some abilities which are amateur status in one study, and a higher status in another. I can't think of one off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure I've seen some while spelunking the wiki; I'll keep an eye out as I dig thru sage material in coming days.

If I'm right, the stock introduction "XYZ is an amateur-status ability ..." won't always be correct. Worth worrying about?

Tao alexis (talk) That's deliberate. I can't think of an example either, but the sage ability is assigned according to how long the character would have to be in the study before getting the skill, not the difficulty of the skill itself. If you see an example, list it as the lowest-status as a sage ability; feel free to add a note on the page that says, "Characters with this study need to reach authority-status to obtain this ability."
