Faerie Fire (spell).jpg

Faerie Fire causes a pale glowing outline upon objects or creatures as desired, making them stand out in conditions of dusk or dark. The effect can be clearly seen to a distance of 80 ft., or 16 combat hexes. To effect the spell, the caster must be able to visibly see the targets.

Faerie Fire
Range 80 ft.
Duration 4 rounds per level
Area of Effect 1 creature per level
Casting Time 1 round
Saving Throw none
Level druid (1st)

The fire causes no damage, nor does it conflict with a combatant's ability to fight. However, due to the visibility granted, glowing individuals can be treated as though it is full daylight for attacking purposes, with a +2 bonus to hit besides.

The effects of this glow are diminished if the attacker's hex contains an open light source, such as a torch or unshielded lantern. Additionally, the spell has no effect in daylight.

Unless specified otherwise, the glow of the spell will be a light sky-blue ... but the caster may choose to adopt a signature colour which they learned to create while studying magic.
