Starshine is a spell that doubles the illumination from the moon or the stars at night, so that persons within the area of effect are able to act in conditions of near-daylight. The area of effect is centered on the caster — it cannot be cast upon another individual as recipient.

Starshine
Range self
Duration until dawn
Area of Effect 100 ft. radius
Casting Time 2 rounds
Saving Throw none
Level druid (3rd)

Starshine only gives benefits in the outdoors, as it effects natural light that already exists. The effect makes it bright enough to read, to do most work, move about safely and so on. Creatures need not be within the spell's area of effect at the time of casting to enjoy these benefits.

The spell has no effect if cast if the sun is above the horizon, and the spell's duration ends when the sun rises. The spell has no special effect upon infravision or ultravision.
