Execution.jpg

Describes the scope and attitude of a professional executioner, one who carries out capital crimes and non-lethal physical punishments, such as time spent in the stocks or gibbet, or on the rack. The ability grants compentence in performing the act, whether through beheading, hanging, poisoning or various other forms of execution. The character will have excellent knowledge of the tools, practice and efficient carrying out of the duty.

Moreover, the character is able to close off all emotional responses towards victims, as they choose. The ability, therefore, grants immunity to both sympathy and empathy of the intended victim, and as a bulwark against the emotional expressions of others with association to the victim. Even magical attempts to dissuade the character are resisted, as the ability gives a +4 saving throw against charm, only when the character is influenced against performing an execution as intended.

Likewise, the character's experience with the dead and the nature of those suffering punishments also gives a +2 saving throw vs. nausea, and any other effects related to revulsion.
