Allows the character knowledge regarding the most powerful entities in the universe.

These are beings whose power is so great that they are nearly omnipotent or omniscient, formless and beyond the influence of worshipper's belief. The Gods exist outside the construct of what is called 'existence' - even outside the existence of the outer planes, which are in truth merely alternate planes of existence from the Prime Material.

The Gods do not have names - though they are sometimes referred to by names created by mortals, who will sometimes mistake the Gods for demi-gods. Within human culture, those most commonly known include the Christian and Moslem gods of Yahwah (Jehovah) and Allah, Shiva, Isis (Ana) and the Old Gods of the Cthulhu mythos. There are other Gods, but these are not known on Earth.

Since these Gods are unknowable, unlike demi-gods, the study of the Gods pertains more to the discovery of truth apart from the movement or conflicts associated between mortals or lesser immortals. Because the Gods need not be concerned with the extent or effects of local worship, they are free to consider the wider realities beyond material existence. Another way to consider the relationship of Gods to demi-gods would be, while demi-gods occupy the planes of existence, Gods create the planes of existence, destroy them or see to their continued presence.
