Origin
Leomund Vetofka was born a Khazarian Jew in the early 10th century, trained in distant Khorezm and becoming the leading member of the Kiyevan Court; he is credited with the city withstanding the Pecheneg siege in 968 and with the coronation of Grand Prince Vladimir the Great in 975. He returned to Khorezm in the 990s and is said to have lived another 50 years.
