Enables the use of falcons, hawks, eagles and owls, as trained birds of prey, for hunting and communication. Along with the ability itself, falconry can serve as a status symbol, as it is seen as a sign of quality lineage and personal worth. The study includes the acquisition of falconry birds, taming, captive breeding, use for hunting and ultimately creating an association with the animal that resembles the mage's familiar. Characters should be able to obtain several different birds, perhaps specializing in one species, with further abilities related to larger bird creatures such as griffons, hippogriffs, pegasi, perytons and even rocs. While the focus of the study is not upon using these beasts as ridden mounts, there would be a unique set of abilities relating to communication and cooperation.
