Bambara is a small human kingdom upon the upper Niger river in sub-Saharan Africa, founded at the start of 1640 by it's warrior king, Fa Sine. In addition to much of the Niger Basin, it includes the regions of Khasso to the west and Hodh to the north. It's northern boundary reaches the erg of El Djouf. The region is dominated by savanna and The Sahara Desert. The area and population of the region are as yet undetermined.
