Allows the identification and recognition of beasts, including the name by which the beast is known and the principle threat it imposes. Specifically, knowledge of threat includes the number of attacks the beast possesses per round, what parts of the body are used in attack, the armour class of the creature and its approximate weight and hit dice.
This knowledge does not include any special attacks or defenses the beast possesses, nor its magic resistance, except in cases where the beast's primary magical power is famous, such as the basilisk or medusa.
