Scrying Water
Range touch
Duration 6 rounds per level
Area of Effect 5 ft. circle
Casting Time 3 rounds
Saving Throw none
Level cleric (5th)

Causes any appropriate water surface up to the area of effect to serve as a scrying window similar to the crystal ball.

The water surface must be flat. A outdoor pond or puddle will serve, so long as neither wind nor other phenomena do not disturb the surface. Indoor pools or fonts serve more reliably.

The cleric will be able to see over any distance and into other planes of existence, but knowledge of the location to be scryed, or of a specific person wherever that person may be, must be known in advance. If either is personally known to the cleric, there is a 100% chance of success in scrying the person or the location. If either are merely described to the cleric, chances drop to 25%. A painted image will double this chance of success.

Both sight and sound are produced by the spell, which are equally visible to the cleric and any of the cleric’s religion.
