Span conjures a bridge of humble appearance, able to reach across an open space between two solid points. The span may appear to be more or less solid as desired, but is always something unpretentious in design, as though erected by ordinary persons rather that someone of professional or artistic means. Once the spell is cast, it cannot be dispelled at will by the caster; the magic is too strong, and must wait until the spell's duration runs out.
