Sweltering conditions describes a temperature range between 100-109°F. The air feels heavy and oppressively hot for characters, creating significant discomfort. Characters must adopt extremely lightweight, breathable attire to endure the heat. The terrain remains dry, allowing travel but significantly impeding movement due to the unbearable warmth. Outdoor activities become exceedingly challenging and might need to be suspended altogether due to the risk of heat-related illnesses.

Settlement life struggles under the relentless heat, with indoor spaces offering minimal respite from the sweltering temperatures. Clothing becomes minimalistic and almost solely for decency, as layers of clothing prove unbearable. Homes aim to provide the slightest semblance of cooler environments, potentially leading to communal shelters or shaded spaces. Resource management becomes a critical concern, with food preservation becoming extremely challenging, and fresh produce quickly wilting or spoiling due to the intense heat.

Community gatherings dwindle in this extreme heat, with outdoor activities coming to a standstill. Trade and commerce suffer significantly, with markets experiencing a sharp decline in activity due to the unbearable conditions. Character interactions become limited, often confined to seeking cooler areas or focused on survival strategies amidst the oppressive heat.

Exploration becomes almost impossible in this sweltering climate, with quests delayed or abandoned due to the dangers posed by heatstroke and dehydration. Predictable wildlife behavior undergoes drastic changes, with creatures seeking extreme shelter or becoming highly aggressive due to the unbearable temperatures. Encounters with creatures adapted to intense heat become prevalent.

Dungeon exploration faces monumental challenges as the heat infiltrates even the depths of dungeons. Characters might find the dungeons insufferably hot, making navigation hazardous and potentially life-threatening. Challenges within dungeons, unrelated to temperature, offer minimal reprieve as adventurers struggle against the overwhelming heat.
