Level cleric (3rd)

Allows the caster to transform into stone almost instantly (one move), either as a free standing shape or as part of an existing stone structure. The shape will be formless, up to 50% taller or shorter than the caster, and may be either horizontal or vertical.

While so melded, the caster will be undetectable except by spell. The caster will likewise be unable to cast spells or take any action whatsoever.

While vision is obscured, hearing is unaffected.

The caster can break the spell at will.

Detect magic will reveal the cleric’s location without revealing the nature of the spell. Spells that affect stone, such as stone to flesh, stone shape, earthquake or transmute rock to mud, will cause 4-32 damage to the melded cleric, and will automatically dispel the meld. Dispel magic will also do so. Flesh to stone has no effect, however.

Otherwise, the cleric will be as immune to magic attacks as stone would be.
