Dispel Exhaustion is a spell that rejuvenates and restores a recipient with the equivalent of a full day's rest. Any weariness or loss of energy the character had experienced prior to the spell's casting is dispelled instantly, even if the character has participated in a forced march or a lengthy battle.

Effectively, a caster of any class that has used his or her spells on a given day may feel refreshed and able to re-learn their spells immediately upon the spell being cast — without any need to sleep until the time their natural sleep cycle would commence.

Repeated use of the dispel exhaustion spell, however, is dangerous; those who are subjected to the spell more often than once a week must roll for system shock survival, or suffer 1d10 damage per level of the caster of the dispel exhaustion spell. This even includes the caster who takes advantage of his or her own spell.

Other expected benefits to be obtained by a full night’s sleep are inherent in the spell. Recipients are not affected so as to require more food or water, or in any manner than would be completely normal from having obtained the necessary rest.
