Predict Weather (spell).jpg

Predict Weather is a spell that provides an accurate forecast of the weather for a duration of two hours per level from the moment of discharge. This includes knowledge of wind speed, rainfall, cloud cover, and even the amount of particulates in the air. If the weather varies across the spell's area of effect — such as rainfall occurring in one location but not another — the caster will be aware of these distinctions, gaining a detailed understanding of localized weather patterns rather than a singular, uniform forecast.

Predict Weather
Range self
Duration immediate
Area of Effect 4 mile radius; 2 hours per level
Casting Time 10 rounds
Saving Throw none
Level druid (1st)

The spell cannot tell, however, which specific places where lightning might strike, or where in a bank of fog the visibility will be best. Only broad knowledge will be gained. Take note that knowledge is also gained of the general change of the weather as it will occur from one three-hour period to the next, for as long as the effect lasts. This knowledge will be remembered by the caster once the spell has been discharged.
