Sub-technologies describe distinctive parts of an general technology. For example, the technology of Fishing includes the sub-technologies of Hand-gathering, Catch Fishing, Aquaculture and Bowfishing. The number of available sub-technologies in a given region depends on that region's development. Different sub-technologies are usually associated with specific tools, culture, blocks, improvements, and added references.
