Ars Begs, the southernmost of the banners, is home to the Kipchak orcs, known for their swiftness in battle and their mastery of horse and bow. The great city of Zhek rises on the banks of the Izh, its wooden walls sheltering traders, warriors, and emissaries from the khan’s court. While Ars Begs is more settled than the rest of Bulgrastan, its warbands still ride north and west, keeping the roads and frontiers under the heel of the Kipchak lords.

Bolgar, the heartland of the khanate, is where the power of the Haruchai and the ogres is strongest. Its capital, Great Bolgar, is the seat of the High Khan, where vast yurts and towering stone citadels stand side by side, a testament to both the steppe-born and mountain-forged rulers who dominate this land. Bolgar’s warriors are the might of the Khanate, its iron and furs flowing east and west, while its great forges shape weapons that fuel the endless conflicts of the banners.

To the north, Zyria is a land of shadowed forests, deep rivers, and unbroken wilderness, home to scattered orcish clans and the enigmatic Zyrian ogres, whose ways remain untouched by the southern courts. No walls mark its capital, for there is no true city in Zyria—only gathering places where its warbands meet before vanishing once more into the taiga. It is said that the deepest reaches of Zyria remain unclaimed even by the High Khan, its lands haunted by spirits and the remnants of things older than Bulgrastan itself.
